Lecture: Gardening for Wildlife with Native Plants

  • Sewee Visitor & Environmental Education Center 5821 North Highway 17 Awendaw, SC, 29429 United States (map)

All organisms are dependent upon a specific set of environmental conditions and a balanced network of other organisms to thrive. With development leading to shrinking forest and grassland habitats + yards providing low quality habitat, many species are experiencing population declines. What can we do to ensure that yards and neighborhoods have real habitat value? Sharleen will introduce us to gardening with native plants that support pollinators, birds and other wildlife.
